In an effort to provide access to a wide variety of scholarly literature in electronic form, the UCSD Libraries subscribes to a number of electronic journals and newsletters. Access to these electronic journals is provided in many different ways.
From the Library Services Homepage, the link entitled Electronic Journals on the Information Services column provides access to all UCSD Libraries electronic journals. The Electronic Journals page provides starting points for finding electronic journals and links to lists of, and access to, subject specific journals and magazines.
ROGER, the UCSD Libraries catalog, includes records for all of the electronic journals UCSD receives on subscription and many others available for free on the Internet. You may search for them by journal title or by other search choices. If a journal is available on the Internet, the location code will be NET and the URL (or Internet address), will be visible in the main text of the displayed record.
In the ROGER Web catalog and the MELVYL Web periodical titles catalog, the catalog records provide direct access to the electronic journals through hypertext links.
The full-text of many print journals is also available online in the MELVYL databases such as MAGS, COMP, or ABI.
