About PASA

Since our inception, we have provided annual career option workshops focusing on the needs of UCSD's diverse Asian communities. PASA is involved in bringing to campus presenters and events that are of particular interest to Asians including topics with local and global implications. Membership is open and inclusive to those who support our larger vision.

PASA's vision and purpose:

  • Promote the general well being of Asian/Pacific Islander staff employees at UCSD
  • Inform members of resources available to assist in career and personal development
  • Develop and present informative, relevant, and valuable workshops as well as cultivate cultural competency
  • Establish and strengthen professional and social relationships between Asian staff members, allies, and the campus community

PASA strongly believes in providing educational and social activities as a means of promoting professional and personal relationships within the University and in fostering a conducive environment for learning and dialogue.

Although PASA is an organization that was formed for the benefit of UCSD staff employees, we work (and play) with UC faculty, students, and members of surrounding communities. We invite those who share our vision to join us in our continuing efforts to see that our communities attain the highest level of professional and personal achievement possible.
