Intension vs. Extension

Possible Formulation: Intension (in tenere: to hold; using
in-supr-two, thus to hold inside or within) is a term to used to try to
express where the referent, or Object, of a mental phenomenon can be found.
If the argument that a mental phenomenon has a referent within itself is
accepted, then this referent would be the intension of the phenomenon, or that
which is held within it. Extension, oppositely, is applicable to the Objects
serving as referents in physical phenomena. The extension of such an item is
exactly the amount of spatio-temporal nature that they occupy.
