The Newsreel Project is a UCSD Libraries' prototype digital tool for access to the FVL's newsreel collection. The collection consists of two hundred 16mm prints. Each program is 10 minutes in length and together providing 2000 hours of history, in moving images, covering the years 1930 through 1979.

The library is providing digital access only to its archived 16mm print material. The following restrictions apply;

USCD only
Material may be viewed for instruction and research only.
The FVL does not hold the copyright to any film in it's collection. Clearance will be necessary from original rights holder for any reuse.
Viewing material implies acceptance of above restrictions
