Library Security Regulations

I wanted to remind you all, and ask you to Please make sure your entire department staff knows that:

1. Keys checked out to one staff member may NOT be given to any other staff member. If another staffer needs keys, his/her request must be handled separately. Even if you are leaving your job at the Library, you may not give your keys to the newly-hired person, even if you then let us know about it.

2. Same as above for access/security cards. An employee may not allow anyone else to use his/her security card, nor give it to someone else when they leave the Library. Any possible breach of security shown on the computer would be attributed to the original party if the offending card is still checked out to them.

3. The Seuss Room MUST be left in default set-up, unless you have a prior arrangement with the Facilities Dept (such as: you have a special set-up and the next party to use the room needs the same set-up). If you do not find the room in default set-up, feel free to call and ask us if you need to return it to default set-up; however, the agreement for using the Seuss Room is that each party return the room to Default (the default formation is posted inside the storage closet door) and that the room be left clean. The Facilities Dept sets up the room for the UL and AULs, but we do not set it up for anyone else, with rare exception.
