DSSL Departmental Systems Support Liaisons |
|
About The DSSLs The DSSL meeting serves as a forum for the identification, development and discussion of policies and procedures related to all aspects of desktop computing support.
Meetings Meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month, from 10am to 11:30am in Room 276. All DSSLs are expected to attend each meeting.
Co-Chairs The DSSL Coordinating Committee is chaired jointly by the IT Department Desktop Services Unit Head and a DSSL, who serves a one-year, renewable term. The DSSL co-chair is selected through a call for volunteers and is confirmed by the AUL for Technology and Technical Services. The DSSL co-chair will serve as the primary facilitator of the meetings.
Minutes The designated recorder is responsible for recording decisions and action items, posting a draft version to the DSSL mailing list, and sending the final version to the designated webmaster for posting. The recorder is selected by signup sheet distributed at the DSSL meeting. The position rotates monthly. Recorders are responsible for finding their own replacements before the next scheduled meeting if they cannot attended their designated meeting.
Membership The official DSSL Coordinating Committee comprises the DSSL(s) from each department or branch library. Meetings are open to Departmental Representatives or any other interested parties. Appropriate ITD staff are encouraged to attend when appropriate. |
