Discussion:

1.
Document review: "Composite record cataloging (cataloging remote access electronic serials using the print record version)"

There was extensive discussion of the first two pages, particularly the table to be used to determine how to handle the cataloging of electronic versions in a variety of situations (no original manifestation, no OCLC copy, original manifestation arrives after electronic has been cataloged).

Adolfo suggested that making this document a link on other policies such as "Combining Multiple Formats of Textual Materials on a Single Record" would be useful. Adolfo asked members of the SCDPP WG to consider creating similar procedures for other formats.

Discussion of this document will be put on the next agenda. Renee Chin will update the document based on comments received to date and post online.

2. What to do when e-version of a resource is cataloged before the print and what to do when the print arrives

Use above document when finalized. Margaret Christean noted that in cases where original cataloging is done for an e-version and then later for the print, OCLC will then have two records, one for the electronic and one for the print. If the original manifestation was the print, our local practice will be to withdraw the electronic record and replace it with the print record.

3. New name for group

Since functional groups are defunct we need a new name for the group. Some suggestions were made; a quick vote found unanimous approval for "Serials Cataloging Fun Group."
